A Full Professor of Marketing at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Süleyman Demirel University (SDU), Isparta, Turkey, where she has conducted research and taught for over 25 years. She is the Founding President of the Ecosystem Dominance Policies Research and Development Center (EHPAGM) and one of Turkey's most distinguished scholars in strategic marketing, critical management theory, and innovation-based business frameworks.
Full Biography
Prof. Papatya has authored 135+ peer-reviewed articles published in SSCI, TR DİZİN, EBSCO, and other internationally indexed journals, along with 6 academic books. Her work spans five pioneering theoretical frameworks that have shaped contemporary marketing thought in Turkey and internationally:
- Resource-Based View (RBV) applied to Strategic Marketing — Among the first Turkish scholars to introduce RBV to marketing literature (1996–2003)
- Ecosystem Marketing Framework — Independently developed and published in January 2019, concurrent with Philip Kotler's global introduction of the concept
- RBV + Biopolitical Production Theory — The first scholar globally to synthesize Foucauldian biopolitics with Resource-Based View in multinational corporation analysis (2013)
- Fear Marketing as Strategic Critical Framework — Seminal Turkish contribution to fear-based marketing theory (2010)
- Imaginary Selves Theory — Critical framework linking consumer identity, brand symbolism, and market behavior
Her research has been featured in Harvard Business Review Türkiye, TASAM, Canadian Institute for Knowledge Development (CIKD), and presented at international congresses including the 5th İzmir Economics Congress.
